It is an interesting book, and I do not regret having purchased it. However, it is hard to follow her sometimes, because she switches between the two eras so much. It would have been better to have either concentrated on one or devote sections to one rather than the switching from paragraph-to-paragraph.Product details

Enjoyed both the recipes and author's side stories
A great book that gives you a taste of what tea time was like back in that era.
Overall it's a great book for ideas and recipes for different tea parties. Great brief history of tea and related the text well to fans of Downton Abbey.
Love this book. So much information on the art of the afternoon tea, and wonderful recipes. Written in such a way that makes you feel that you are sitting and sharing a cup of tea with the author. If you are not already a tea lover, you will want to become one while reading this book.
It is a fun book about the era of the Titanic and Downton Abbey. Of course, Downton Abbey begins with the sinking of the Titanic. The recipes are nice. I enjoyed reading the book very much.
Well written and very informative. This bookgives a whole new light to the art of tea. I love the history wrapped in with the recipes, and the sacredness of tradition. As quotes in the book, " the reconstruction of the past is a delicate pleasure of which one should not be deprived".

This book surprised me. It provided lots of detail, information and recipes about afternoon tea on the Titanic and at Downton Abbey. Loved the book and would highly recommend it.
